Father of the Year

Denae is out of town.  Father of the Year Award goes to me for bringing Will along with me and my Dad to fix the fence at our new house last night.  Basically, I chased Will around the yard to keep him from eating nails or throwing screwdrivers in cement while my Dad did all the work.  Thanks Dad! When we were finally done at 9:15, we went to McDonald’s and let will run around the restaurant.

Here he is being told not to jump up on the table (while jumping up on the table):

The Radio Factor

If yesterday’s post was depressing, I don’t know what to call this – O’Reilly’s Radio Factor is officially off the air.

A couple of verses

I listened to some older sermons by Matt Chandler this evening on Hebrews 1.  This text is pretty cool:

After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…”

Easy to understand:  We sin, He made us right.

Read the verse.
Listen to the sermon.

Do you know what tomorrow is?

Lent starts tomorrow.  I know it’s optional, but I can see how fasting something would be beneficial for me spiritually.  I’m still praying about it.  Are you giving anything up?

Quote

“The question is not merely whether we can rest in our faith, but whether we can rest in the doubt that is the necessary alternative of faith.”

I got this quote from J. Gresham Machen’s mother via Desiring God.
